The frets are in great shape with no buzzing or dead spots, and only light and consistent wear from frets 1-7, with almost no wear further up the neck and plenty of height and life left in the frets. The neck profile is a slender C with a smooth gloss finish and the bound rosewood fretboard sports pearloid rounded block inlays. Weighing only 6lbs 2oz with a comfortable 30" scale length, the EB-210 is easy on the back and perfect for players who prefer the more compact scale. Professionally setup, intonated and strung with fresh roundwould 45-100 strings, this Teisco EB-210 is one of the finest Japanese-made vintage basses we have in the shop here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar! With the tone almost down to zero, the low end fills out in a significant way, with a thump and punch reminiscent of a Precision Bass or Gibson Mudbucker. In the neck position things naturally get a bit deeper and fuller, and the range of the tone controls and treble roll off of the individual volume knobs is truly impressive.
On the bridge pickup, the tone is very dynamic, bright and present, with great growl and clarity. With an asymmetrical "violin" body shape reminiscent of a melty Hofner and two fantastic single coil pickups, the EB-210 is a visually striking bass that truly sounds as good as it looks and plays effortlessly.
